APAC — As cybersecurity teams increasingly turn to artificial intelligence to manage growing security demands, Tenable is taking a collaborative approach to the challenge with the launch of the CyberAgents Exchange, an open-source platform designed to help security practitioners discover, share, and develop trusted AI-powered security components.
Powered by Tenable, the CyberAgents Exchange is positioned as a vendor-agnostic, cybersecurity-focused registry for AI agents, skills, MCP servers and multi-agent playbooks. The initiative aims to address a growing problem across the industry: security teams developing AI tools independently, often duplicating efforts and working within isolated or vendor-controlled environments.
Building a More Collaborative Cybersecurity Community
The CyberAgents Exchange is designed to break down those silos by creating a free-to-use environment where cybersecurity professionals can share and build agentic AI tools.
Trust and transparency are central to the platform. Users can access code-level information about an AI component, including who created it, when it was developed and whether it has received peer support. This gives security teams greater visibility as they evaluate and deploy components for their own environments.
The platform could also serve as a professional development resource, allowing practitioners to demonstrate experience with emerging AI technologies while building a portfolio of peer-supported security components.
For Seth Fogie, Director of Security at Baptist Memorial Health Care, the collaborative nature of the initiative is particularly important.

Industry Leaders Join as Founding Members
The initiative is also gaining support from established cybersecurity companies.
SentinelOne and Recorded Future have joined the CyberAgents Exchange as founding members, bringing expertise in autonomous security operations and threat intelligence to the emerging ecosystem. Both organizations are expected to contribute AI agents, integration frameworks and playbooks aimed at strengthening collective defenses against evolving AI-driven threats.
The launch also coincides with “SWARM: The Cybersecurity Agentic AI Build Event,” a hands-on, multi-day event taking place during Black Hat USA 2026. Sponsored by AWS and presented with support from Anthropic, the event gives security practitioners an opportunity to develop open-source security agents, skill files and MCP servers.
More Than 50 AI Components Already Available
The CyberAgents Exchange launches with more than 50 open-source AI components, giving security teams a starting point for experimenting with agentic cybersecurity workflows.
Among them is Navi, an agent that uses Tenable One Vulnerability Management APIs to automate common vulnerability-management and cyber-exposure workflows.
The Exchange also includes SentinelOne Purple AI, an MCP server that allows users to access SentinelOne services through an MCP client; Recorded Future MITRE APT Attack Path Analysis, which combines threat intelligence with Tenable findings to identify potentially exploitable attack-path nodes; and SOC-Hunter, a skill used by Tenable’s own security operations team for proactive, hypothesis-driven threat hunting.
Another offering, The Hounds Pack, provides a skill-packaged playbook built around 18 exposure-management specialists designed to hunt, tag and calibrate risk.
“Security Is a Team Sport”
For Tenable Chief Technology Officer Vlad Korsunsky, the initiative reflects a fundamental principle of cybersecurity: organizations are stronger when they work together.
“Security is a team sport. We’ve addressed a gaping hole in the ecosystem of AI Agents, built for defenders, by defenders. With the CyberAgents Exchange, we’re creating a collaborative ‘town square’ where cybersecurity practitioners can build, test, improve and share the best in agentic defense,” said Korsunsky.
He added that Tenable’s experience in open source, combined with its global customer and partner ecosystem, puts the company in a strong position to help develop the initiative and expand the capabilities of security teams.
SentinelOne also sees open collaboration as increasingly important as cyber threats become more autonomous.
“To truly scale defenses against autonomous, AI-driven threats, the security community must move past isolated development and vendor-locked silos,” said Braden Preston, vice president of product management, SentinelOne.
Recorded Future likewise emphasized that intelligence and trust need to remain at the heart of autonomous cybersecurity.
“Joining the CyberAgents Exchange as a founding member lets us bring world-class threat intelligence directly into the open-source frameworks security teams are building today,” said Jamie Zajac, Chief Product Officer at Recorded Future. “But the promise of AI agents in security depends entirely on whether they can be trusted.”
An Open Invitation to the Cybersecurity Community
The CyberAgents Exchange is available as a free, open-source community, with no fees for listing or using agents. The model is deliberately designed to encourage participation from security practitioners, technology companies and other members of the cybersecurity community.
As AI increasingly becomes part of both offensive and defensive cybersecurity, the industry’s challenge is moving beyond simply developing smarter tools. The bigger question is how those tools can be made trusted, transparent, reusable and collaborative.
Tenable’s CyberAgents Exchange represents one attempt to answer that challenge: rather than having every security team build its own AI capabilities from scratch, practitioners can contribute to a shared ecosystem where ideas, components and expertise can move faster.
In an environment where cyber threats themselves are becoming increasingly AI-enabled, collaboration may prove to be one of the industry’s most important defenses.
